The celebration of the new year is more like a happy birthday earth, we all made it around the sun once more. It's an opportunity to reflect on the past year, and look forward to the new one.
Some believe that what you spend the new year doing you'll spend the rest of the year doing - setting the precedent for the year.
It's also a time to take stock of your life and make decisions and choices that you've been putting off. The idea of a New Year's Resolution, typically being a life change that you need to make to improve yourself.
The fact that the world did not physically change does not mean that it is intended in the celebration as a chance for a fresh start, a new beginning, a clean slate of a year.
Ok. I'm done.
I probably should have blogged about this myself, but I ended up writing about computers tonight.
Also, thanks - I totally owe you for the computer lessons before. You're my hero. And I figured out how to get my music off my iPod, but I'll let you read it yourself.
